Hiking in the Fuschlsee Region
Hike our three local mountains from where you will have a wonderful bird´s eye view of the village and its beautiful surroundings.
From the Schober at 1328 m. you have a panoramic view of seven lakes and as far as the Dachstein mountain. Climb to the Filbling summit at 1307 passing the idyllic little Lake Filbling, and enjoy to the south the fantastic view across Lake Fuschl and the beauty of Nature. The Ellmaustein mountain at 1047 offers you the best impressions of our village and the lower foothills of the Alps to the west.
Zwölferhorn – View of St. Gilgen on Lake Wolfgang
The Zwölferhorn mountain is considered one of the most beautiful vantage points of the Salzkammergut. In only 16 minutes travel to the top by cable car to a height of 1476 m. Here you will find good hiking possibilities and a unique view of the surrounding mountains.
Postalm
One of the largest alp areas of Austria, the Postalm is to be reached via a panoramic road from Strobl. Almost no other area has such diverse hiking and walking trails. Forget the burden of everyday life and find peace and relaxation in unspoilt nature. An experienced hiker once said "You could spend a whole life there and the variety would never end"
